Empire Ressy Blowing out of ASA Blow off

Okay, this is such a simple part, I can't believe I can't figure this out!

PROBLEM: When I flip the on/off lever on my ASA it just blows air (violently) from the degas hole on the ASA.

At first I figured it was my tank, so I swapped tanks (ninja ball to ninja pin), same issue, then I tried a first strike reg, same issue.

I then took it apart, and everything looked fine, so I lubed everything re-assembled and had the same issue.

I then took every thing apart swapped the orings on the lever and tried again, same issue.

I threw a tank on my Empire sniper with identical ASA and it worked fine. So I tore the guts out and everything looked identical to the Ressy.

This is where it gets weird! I then swapped all the guts from the Ressy to the Sniper and vice versa. Sniper worked fine, but Ressy still had the issue.

That is where I was left scratching my head. What is going wrong here??? This Ressy worked fine before being hung on the wall for the winter.

Have you tried some Dow 55 to swell the orings a lil bit? To me sounds like an oring issue.

Or Is it possible the lever orientation could come into play. Maybe the lever is upside down?

I don't think there is anyway the lever could be installed upside down. It only goes in one way from one side.

I put Dow 33 on it yesterday, and that didn't seem to do the trick...

Edit: I read that as Dow 33. I don't have Dow 55. Is that something I could find at my local hardware store?

Some hardware stores have it. It’s like 33 but swells orings a lil bit. I have used it to seal leaky regs and 3way’s and such that seemed impossible to to figure out.

There is definitely no foreign debris or paint inside the areas the parts seal at? Anything look scratched or pitted?

Well, I don't think it is that. Since I didn't have Dow 55 I took the orings off and wrapped under the orings in teflon to the point where I really had to muscle the lever in there. It didn't seem to effect it at all. I really am stumped by this. There has to be somethign I am missing. I will take the Sniper apart again and see if there is a part or something that is not in the Ressy. Although, I have no idea how the part would be missing in the Ressy!

This got even weirder. I replaced all the orings again, and no luck!, I checked for extra parts or something and it is all the same. However, then I started looking at the actual housing. The Ressy has a hole past the lever bar that the Sniper does not have it. Given how this on/off works I don't see how this hole would work without blasting air out that blow off hole. Is it possible that this hole should not be there, and some how the air blew a hole in the asa?

It is so hard getting pics of it, but the black is the Ressy and the Green is the Sniper.

Can someone tell me if this hole in the Ressy is supposed to be there, or if there was some super bizarre failure in the ASA and it blew a hole in the housing? Thanks!!!!
