Been away from playing for a bit. Want to make my return a good one. What field has the best woods or brush ball event coming up? I enjoy the effort that comes with being stuck in the thick of it, lost, surrounded by nothing but foilage and markers going off in the distance, and trying to soild snake your way into an elemination and mission objective. Most places keep it a little to trimmed down in my opinion. .

Splat Tag.. nuff said. Its over 250 acres of wooded hilly dense woods with bases, bunkers, and trails carved into it.
The main reason I have played there for the most part for over 12 years is just that.. its thick harsh woods vs everyone else having groomed courses.
They have a mag fed big game coming up end of july, and a normal big game coming in the fall.
That being said its a long drive from illinios.
If I were in your shoes. Sherwood would be my go to, but thats well groomed last I was there. its still got the canopy coverage that I like, and is extremely well made.

I will drive if its worth it. Done it for concerts. Worst case scenario I can fly and just buy a marker and maybe a tank at or around the event and sell it before my flight back home. .RESPECT ME AND MY PINK RIMS!!!

The fields not local, so I only play during Monster Game, so I can't compare to a normal day, but monster game has experience has been great more times than it's been mediocre in the time going.

Sherwood Forest has some great games every year. Red Feather Paintball and Guru Games seem to be there quite regularly. It's 80 acres and I got quite deep in their woods at the 26hr classic scenario 2 years ago. I've also wanted to try a game at Blast Camp, it's an old Nike missile site and my friends that have played there say it's great.

I've only gone to their classic scenarios in April. Camping was free but you can get a discounted price at the Comfort Inn in La Porte, one mile away. The drive was 4.5 hours for me, but I leave from Sarnia. Every time I've crossed the border I just said I was going to play paintball and they waved me through. I think they felt sorry for me. And if they ever do pull me in, they're sure gunna get the complete history of paintball!.
