What kind of grip is this

What is this, I don't understand why there is a tiny ass hole in this, the little square hole in the pic, it's not a reg there's no way to adjust it

That looks like a vl gas through. Yeah I have not seen one with that inside it or a c-clip holding anything in.

Could that be sort of filter trying to keep dirt and moisture when using C02. Similar PTP using the brass filters that went inside the hard line fittings.

I just figured I'd ask before I went digging into this thing, after looking at it though I'm sure this is why the AM sentinel I bought wouldn't reach proper velocity

Yeah, if you’re using HPA remove the filters. Any Spyder or Spyder clone I get I automatically remove the little brass filters (located in the front block). All it will do is slow down recharge rate.

Well my snap ring plier nubs I guess you would call them are to big to fit into the holes in the snap ring, anyone got any tricks

If anyone wants it I'd trade it for a neat looking gas through ill even include the ss hose and asa, it has a pretty nice straight non on/off asa

Use an oring pick, curved one works the best (just don't stab yourself πŸ˜…)

I remember seeing advertisements for gas-thru grips that helped stop liquid CO2, so either aerator or something to help transfer heat faster from the grip would be my guess what it is. Just a guess.

I never picked up snap-ring pliers, and years ago I managed to take a pair of dental-picks and pull one out of a reg of some sort after about 15-20 minutes of struggling.

Thank you, it very well could be but there's no markings on it at all, well other then some previous owner idiot marks πŸ˜‚

Could just be your basic knock off run of the mill expansion chamber, ill never use it

Sold on stock Sentinels; it's an expansion chamber. Lots of the old designs were a labyrinth of small ports to get the liquid to go critical. Harbor Freight makes a good enough pair of tiny ring pliers, which will turn it into a gas through
