Pre2k autococker pump with 13ci tank no regulator?

    Hello, Ballers

I'm currently building a Pre2k autococker pump and I'm trying to run a 13ci 3000PSI tank straight into the vertical ASA. What parts will I need to support the pressure? I attached a google image of what I'm going for.

    Thanks, Mason

The tank will have a reg on it, which will probably be putting out ~800 PSI, which is perfectly acceptable in most older autococker/sniper bodies. If you're trying to use the tank without a regulator, don't, just don't.
    I can haz feedback?
If I owe you feedback, just remind me, as I sometimes forget.

why not use a older ninja slp reg? I have one and its black looking. Think they output at 300 350 psi

A pure pre2k could and should handle 800 psi fine

It depends on the valve you are using. If there was a ref on there before, then find out what the sweet spot was and use a tank that matches that output. (Likely something around 400) You will have a steeper pressure curve without double regging , but it will work. You’ll just lose a bit of fps at the end as the tank pressure drops.
Now if it was an early sniper that never had a reg then a normal output pressure tank will work fine as the old snipers had co2 directly to the valve.
it’s all about the valve and what pressure it likes. I’d go with a high pressure valve so any normal output pressure will do.

Also, no matter what you decide, shoot a full tank over the chrono. And watch for spikes. It is possible to create a situation where you spike as the pressure drops to your sweet spot. Say for example your valve sweet spots at 800psi and your tank reg starts at 825 but drops to 800 when it’s below 1000. This means as the tank reg pressure drops the gun will increase in fps. This is often overlooked. You want the tank pressure at it right below the sweet spot in this situation.

I also think you want to identify the sweet spot for the sake of efficiency and consistency. Whenever I use a 13ci bottle on a gulper, velocity droops across the charge in addition to the inefficiency. I have cheap regs though.
