It got me thinking. Can several layers of this be put on a hopper to get more bounces vs breaks.

I suppose if you added fluffy material in with it, it may work. Maybe glue some sos pads to the hopper then paint it over. The increase in size may offset the bounces with more hits. Probably better off with a neoprene hopper cover. -

Drys more like paint. The tool dip is thicker but would add alot of weight think roll on bead liner. Ginger dynamics makes hopper covers they will net you better results. If bounces are what you are looking for. But you’re still going to catch hopper shots it’s just a lil less likely to break at Long range or a glancing shot. They make them for most modern hoppers and mini hoppers. Not cheap but they are nice and come in an assortment of patterns. Any Winchester user needs one.

Tried it many years ago and it does not bond all that well to a Revy shell and does nothing to help bounces. As said it is not that cushioning of a layer.
