    Sacrilege! Electro Board repair.

I know that this is sacrilege of the highest level asking on MCB but I also know that electros are more accepted here.
    Question:
Does anyone know someone who can troubleshoot an electro board and resolder the parts back. Also if they would be able to source a couple of parts to fix a board that was cannibalized.

What board are you fixing? May be cheaper to replace it all together.

        Contact Richard at zeroxtech01231@gmail.com

He’s been successful in repairing a lot of boards.

I just repaired an axe 2.0 board for a friend. It had an obvious cold solder joint on one of the selector switches causing it to intermittently not work. Re heated that one piece and got a good joint. Had it working within minutes.

But that being said, a lot of boards are coated in the manufacturing process so soldering can be tough.

Also, whats the issue with said board? De soldering and re soldering a 50 pin chip is a whole different animal.erid contact Richard first.. but Id be willing to take a poke at it too. Im just not going to be responsible if I fail at repairing it.

The board that I am wondering about is a Virtue Ion Board and the one that I would like to see if they can find the parts is a empire redline board it is missing the directional switch and the oled.

It’s not sacrilege at all to repair a board. It’s actually more inline with the MCB way… keep a relic going until all options are exhausted… then the only option is mech it, put it in a wood stock, and cover it in brass.

I am working on the second option for the empire now, and thanks to a recent purchase I am a LOT closer.

I'm pretty sure the current poo contest makes an effort to say there is never a point that ALL options are exhausted
