I wonder if you got one of the bad power tubes.

That makes sense they removed the grub screw because the new TPC have an Oring that keeps it from moving around on you.

to bad you didn’t have another phantom valve you could try.

videos of the problems I’m running into. At the end the bucket changer started to unscrew as well.

That Power tube has got to be out of spec. It’s binding on the hammer. Shoot Xtreme an email see if they will send you a new valve assembly. That’s what it need’s unfortunately. You must have gotten one of the bad ones. They are pretty decent about replacing them.

Pull your internals take a picture of them. Especially the back of your Hammer and the tip of the Power tube. I’m guessing one or the other will show signs of it binding. Dose it feel like it’s binding right before it vents on the back stroke. Your power tube isn’t bent right? I’m guessing your marker is binding at the back side of the (Red bolt) and (Gray power tube) what everything slides on.

If you remove the valve see how the internals bolt and hammer slide on the power tube without the springs. I’m guessing it’s a tolerance issue.

I attached pictures of the internals. I don’t really see anything wrong but maybe you will notice something.

Looks normal. The newer internals are not polished as nicely I see. Definitely a rougher finish. But I can’t see that being an issue. It’s probably irrelevant. I have know idea what could be causing that binding and the valve purge on the rearward stroke.

Is it the angle of the photos or is the TPC slightly bent? That could be causing the binding that is catching and opening your powertube?

The newer design just uses and o-ring not a nylon grub screw right? I would take out your TPC and swap the o-ring to see if that fixes the misalignment.

Very intriguing thread. I will be watching a long, hope the fix isn't far off.

Just replaced the oring on the TPU and same issue. Sending it to extreme velocity to have them take a look at it. I appreciate all of the help and I’ll be sure to let you all know what they end up finding.

Ok so I FINALLY found the issue! I never sent it in to EV but I ordered a new puncture pin assembly and that was the issue. My old puncture pin was crushed and there was no hole for the air to get through and fill the valve. New puncture pin has the hole and have shot 69 shots through it with two different 12 grams and no issues.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ASSISTED!!!!!!
