Educate Me On Palmerized PMI II

Picked up this Palmerized PMI II. I know nothing about these. What did Palmer do to these? What should I know about it? I did air it up and shoot it this afternoon. Really like shooting it. Just need to get some stock class gear to make it usable on the field.

Standard Palmer work is enlarging the transfer port and valve.
also adding wedgeit and maybe a detent (looks gone) is there a hole near the breach that doesn't seem to do anything?
I believe a good hone on the barrel was also part of the package.

It might have a dina valve pin (skinny stem).
Some had polished trigger and shear.
Some had porting drilled in the barrel (yours looks stock/no porting)
Some had velocity adjustments set screw added to the asa

This is without mentioning the chroming and the feed tube being turned around 😁

PS : nice find, it looks like a great shooter!

I didn’t notice the detent hole like on my other Palmer but I’ll have to double check. The paint I was using was 10 year old lumps, so had to help it drop into the bore. Still fired pretty straight though! Looking forward to getting some field time.

In terms of efficiency, approx how many shots per C02 should I be seeing? I think I went over 20 but didn’t chrono to see the drop off.

With the enlarged transfer ports and a barrel that is ostensibly stock large bore I would say you are probably in the 20-25 usable-shots-per-12g range.
