CP Regs

I have two CP regs, both top out at 500 Psi. I saw a High-Pressure conversion kit is available. Does anyone know what the reg would top out at with that kit?

I'm looking to get one of these regs to push between 6 and 7 hundred Psi.

That is the high pressure reg(0-500psi). The low pressure is 0-300 psi.

What is it you are trying to do with above 500 psi? If it is for a marker why not run a gas through grip and take the output from the tank? most tank psi is 850ish.

The reg that is on it now is putting out 650, and its nonadjustable. An old WGP reg I think, the marker shoots between anywhere between 250 and 280 with a good ball to bore match and using autococker fingers to prevent any sort of roll out. I would like to update the reg to something more stable so I can try to get better consistency shot to shot.

Wgp regs are adjustable, you just need to take off the bottom section and can’t do it while they’re gassed up. If this is on a cocker, you may do better dropping the pressure. Too high of a

I found out the hard way that you actually do need all the bevel springs in a cp reg. Managed to forget one when I rebuilt it. Couldn't figure out why it would drop off at about 250 straight to 0

I did try messing with the washer stack, I can't physically add more to up the pressure because the body wont screw back to together with the added washer.

Instead of higher input pressure is there something that you can do to change the marker mod a spring or something?

I've got that Carter midblock pump that Nick had. Functions good but the velocity is all over the board. Like I said before I tested the reg for output and its around 650. The reg itself is not externally nonadjustable (not sure if it can be adjusted at all). I would like to make it more consistent; I get that it's a one-off build and if it's not able to get any better than what it is then it is what it is, but I at least want to try.

Its close its not 100% a match but damn close.

I think that is an old WGP regulator and they were adjustable internally. Is that a spyder or autococker build looks like Autococker to me but I am not sure.

Pull that thing apart I bet it just needs a rebuild /cleaning. It may just be another reg that Carter turndown.

I think that I may be wrong but if you get a new softer valve spring. it would help.

Lots of times, too much pressure can decrease velocity. Go through a "sweet spotting".
