Pgp pump rod

Is there a proper procedure or a trick to getting the pump Rod out of the bolt? Seems like the bend of the pump rod is at a angle to the hole in the bolt. Don't want to force it or bend it. Thanks in advance

You can reduce the flex if you cock the hammer, then float the bolt so the cocking lug can rotate in one of the slots. While rotating you can also pivot the pump rod.. it still flexes a bit, but I've given up on caring.

just out of curiosity.....Stock PGP bolt? Is the set screw still in place/tightened up?

Yes stock bolt,and the set screw is out. The bent end of the pump rod is at a different angle than the hole in the bolt.
