    Lazarus in an ADN Splyce

    hey guys,
    i was just thinking to myself about how i cant seem to get my ADN Splyce to seal no matter how many orings i change and the numerous amount of times ive pulled it apart is starting to upset me. from what im understanding about the marker, is that it pretty much has a spyder drive train, which brings me to my question, are most spyder valves an 11/16th valve? and if so, would that new lazarus valve fit inside there?

    i understand there probably isn't much support for this marker, but i figured it wouldn't hurt to ask!

      Spyders have a hole where there is a pin to retain the valve, so if those holes are not closed it will leak. I am not familiar with an ADN Splice at all.

          The lack of valve retention pin would just prevent the hammer from cycling. If he's putting a cocker valve in he's not getting any blowback gas anyway. Modern STBBs including Spyders got rid of the pin entirely. It was for additional safety. The Splyce is based on an Azodin that never had the pin to begin with.

            Good know! Haven't touched a Spyder that was at least a decade old.

            IIRC the Splyce is based on an Azodin blowback? The lower tube will be 11/16 nominally so if there are issues in that regard it would be due to tolerance stacking. I would be more concerned with the Lazarus being too long for the valve chamber and also the hammer throw being too long/short. You'd also obviously lose the semi auto functionality.

                interesting! that would be unfortunate to lose the semi function, but i am very curious to try it now just to see what happens, i will look into it some more and when i finally have the cash to get one ill try it out and report back!

                Yeah you would lose all blowback air so it wouldn't, you know, function as intended

                    What if he just milled a flat on the valve pin like a spyder one

                        Maybe? It might even be as easy as removing the stem oring depending on how tight the metal to metal fit is with the valve body.
