    Question about "Hellfire Valve"

    Greetings,

Is the secret to the HK/PBG "Hellfire Valve" (for Planet Eclipse Gamma Core) the notch on the inner wall?

To cycle faster, the notch is large. To cycle slower, the notch is smaller.

I've seen stock Gamma Core Switch at PB Sports for $8. Maybe it's worth an experiment to file a notch and see what happens. I think the Switch would be better than the o-ring modification. And I wonder if the 'gamma core clones' in the Luxe TM40 and SP Amp will behave the same if modified like the Planet Eclipse platform.

Oh man, if that's true I'm buying like 3 of the cores and filling them differently then labeling each with what BPS it does

Well above my tinkering. I just try to get things to just work.

Looks at my mini file set...lol I don't own a Gamma core but this is something I'd try 😂

ID:	471153 Round 1. Used a dremel and spend more time cleaning up little bits from the grease. I can single trigger as it normally would. Achieves 4balls per second when the trigger is held down. I’m thinking the next step is to go deeper. And if that doesn’t work, enlarge the holes.

So for science sake. Can you add one home at a time to see how that changes the bps? My thoughts are the holes regulate speed of the air to reset the firing sequence. More holes faster, but if you can plug the holes back up you can adjust the speed to your desired rate....

Enlarging the hole one by one sounds like a good experiment. I’ll have to try one hole at a time.

I did see this new part at ANSGear. Reminds me when folks would drill holes in their Automag valves (go from single air passage to multiple air passages). Pro shops would charge $50 for this modification. But now you can get a new part with more holes for under $25.

ANSgear is the worlds largest online paintball store in the world. Huge selection of Paintball Guns, Tanks, Masks, Loaders, Harnesses, Barrels and more. Fast & Free shipping will keep you up to date with all of the best paintball gear.

I noticed the new Core Valve has a large area with no holes when compared to the HK and Hellfire which have the holes going circumferential the valve

The Core Ignition valve is fully-auto, just saw this on ANS YouTube review

At $25 each, I think it’s better value than the Hellfire.

So enlarging the cut slows it down? Cool

Hmmm, so in theory, you could make the cut a decent size and then run a set screw through the wall to act as a flow control. Then it would be adjustable....

Enlarging the cut (which is similar to having a larger part of the spool’s oring removed) increases the BPS, from my understanding.

Round 2: Using my dremel, I enlarged the cut. The marker i definitively shooting faster than 10.5BPS. I tried to use an original Rotor and the paint won’t feed fast enough. I’ve never chopped a ball with any gamma core marker, and now I have a lot of soup. I cleaned everything all up and tried again, and still can’t get enough balls to feed to measure the BPS.

I think I cut out too much material. And I also think we can appreciate the Hellfire mod as I feel a lot of tuning went into it (and definitely didn’t use a dremel).

I wonder if the bolt isn't coming all the way back before it shoots again. 10.5 shouldn't be any kind of speed a rotor has problems with

ID:	486245 Greetings, I thought I’d share a closer image of the core ignition valve, where you can see the machined slot.
