This is coming in a lot I purchased, and I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what it was? Obviously it's a Spyder clone of some type, but the wire detent is throwing me.

Have fun with it when you get it. The stacked hexagon shaped body tubes are the coolest feature and it's cocker threaded too! They came in clear or black.

Do we know if this will take Spyder bolts/grip frames/valves? Is the stock grip frame plastic or aluminium? What is the "front block" Situation, is it threaded for a LPC on the front, or is it just a plug and it'll take Spyder front blocks?

Looks like the detent cover is missing from mine, any ideas on sourcing that or should I drill the body for Cocker detents?

I haven't done any tinkering with mine to find out what parts can be swapped. The frame is aluminum and the front lower tube is threaded, but I've not tried any Spyder LPCs in mine and to make a front block will fit you would have to bore out the threads and drill a hole for the screw to secure it. The braided line is standard 1/8 NPT, I think, so any minicocker VA should fit and the bottom of the body is flat so it should seat and seal well.

As long as you've got the wire detent in place I wouldn't worry about the cover so much. Maybe one of our 3D printers here could make one up for you

If the frame is aluminum then there is no reason to change it, so that's good news. That's also excellent news on the standard gas line. I'll report back on parts compatibility when I get a chance. Pretty sure I have plenty of parts laying around to test with it... Maybe a good neo power valve candidate?

Between the Cocker threads and the aluminum grip frame this is already better then my wildest dreams 😂

OP, this is a Diamond GT, NOT a "Diamond Labs" GT. Diamond Labs had no hand in this marker.

If I can dig up some old magazines, I'll get some pictures of an advert or two. There were a couple of different models/configurations for them.

That makes sense. I kind of suspected that, if this was something from Diamond Labs it'd probably cost a hell of a lot more then "free in a pile of other things I wanted."

Update:

Despite the cocker threaded barrel and standard size gas fittings, it is SUPER easy to see why this thing never caught on.
All scews are metric, M4 & M5. Only "O" ring is #015 (x6).

Bolts are shorter then spyder bolts but otherwise have the same dimensions. To get a spyder bolt to work you would have to chop off the tip of it and sand it down to work.

Grip frame has different spacing then a standard spyder and a spyder sear will not reach. Which is a shame because WTF is going on with this sear assembly?!?


The valve is also frustratingly wonky.

Turns out the longer valve body is necessary because of the hole placement in the bottom. Here is what happens when you try to stick a standard spyder valve in there.


Yes that is the front seal of the valve that is showing above in the grip frame screw hole. Obviously this leaks.

Final Slap in the face is that the threads for the LPC up front are also not standard. So no aftermarket volumizers up there.

So if you pick one of these up, you pretty much have to use it as is. It doesn't like HPA either....
