To bore or not to bore-lapco bigshot

So I got this barrel on a recent purchase, I've got no clue what the bore is yet, but tend to send my barrels to BMC for freak boring. Will Velcor curse me if I go through with that?

They're .690 AFAIK.

I say bore it, but I also like to cut up perfectly good Sheridans and make them useable, so I might be the wrong person to listen to.

Of course, even if it was actually rare I’d say bore it. It will be more useful for whoever uses it.

I love Lapco barrels. I really like my Tight sticks. I wish Pump PB would do another run. They make great Pump barrels.

Definitely not rare enough that you shouldn’t bore it. But…it isn’t necessarily .690.Cocker threaded Big shots were also made in .679, .682, .684 and .687. But if it’s older chances are it’s bigger

I'm pretty sure their other bores were labeled tho, right? Their unlabeled Bigshots were all .690 to my knowledge. For awhile Lapco had different names for different bores too, iirc, like the Picoshot was a smaller bore but the same barrel as a Bigshot. My memory could be fooling me tho.

Yes there's no info on it in terms of the bore. Once I have a moment I'm gonna test some paintball I'll pre-size with the freak kit to confirm. Already emailed BMC so plans in motion now

I had a 14inh Bigshot match anno'd to my Twister with the sole intention of boring it out.

The only Lapco barrel that's too rare to bore is their Tightstick... one of my all time favs.
