    Inception Designs 9/16 autococker valve

Has anyone tried this valve? I would love to hear your thoughts, experiences, or opinions. I cannot find any information on it, just the 11/16 version.

It appears to be out of production. Any idea if there's a reason for that?

    Thanks!

I have one of these in my Karni pump. They work well. No issues. Used the suggested ID springs with it was quick abs easy to tune.

I haven’t used one myself, but having asked around they don’t seem to be any better than a stock 2k+ valve. No reason to choose them over anything else.

I agree, the newer stock WGP valves are superb and most aftermarket valves don't offer much. But I'm a tinkerer lol

      Good valve, efficient.
      Closes very quickly.

Do you feel it can be tuned with a lighter hammer spring than a 9/16 Tornado valve? (see post #7 below for context) If so, I think this might be the valve for me.

I have tuned both with pretty light hammer springs. I usually use the 2nd lightest Inception spring with it and the ID hammer.
The ID and AKA valves are quite similar in design really. I find the ID runs at a little higher pressure though. It has varied from gun to gun. 250-300 is typical though.

I have an inception valve running at 190psi

I have them in a few markers and seem to work well. I don't shoot enough to notice the efficiency being any better or worse than any other valve personally.
Simon has been more focused on Planet eclipse products as of late. So my guess is he just hasn't had the chance for to do a run where it makes sense yet. I bet once he gets low on the 11/16 valves he may do a run of both. larger runs are cheaper to produce.

Happy to hear it was not discontinued due to some issue. That was a concern for sure.

Nah, just ran out of stock.

I tried one when it first came out. I didn’t like the valve spring size and stiffness that came with it. It wasn’t a standard size, it required a larger ID spring. Simon now sells a spring kit but I haven’t tried it. It worked but not the best I have used. I didn’t mess with the springs I just pulled it and dropped in a CCM lower.

It would definitely work fine on a Cocker but for the pump I was building I didn’t like it. I could have made it work, there are just better drop in options for pump I feel.

Today I would just use an Autococker parts Gold kit and call it a day if I had the choice. Because I don’t pay CCM scalper prices and the ACP gold kit is so close you couldn’t tell the difference if you shot them side by side.

The springs didn’t fit over the cup seal seat.

I'm confused about the springing of these valves. My 11/16th HF valve also came with a heavy valve spring. But when I asked Simon about it, he said the valve spring was mainly there to keep the cupseal in place when the marker was degassed, and that the flow of air through the valve was completely responsible for closing the valve. So why are the stock springs as heavy as red springs from kit? I do assume the 9/16th wouldnt have the same 'closing' power as the 11/16th, but sounds like we both got the same valve spring.

Not sure could be due to design it needs more force to seal? It’s very stiff tho compared to say a CCM valve setup.

Interesting stuff guys! I'm planning on selling most of my autocockers and parts soon. But I've decided to keep a prototype Kryptonite autococker. It currently has a Palmer's LT valve, one of my all time favorites. But me being me, I wanna have a backup for everything and love to tinker.

I was hoping the Inception valve is a balance between the Tornado valve and Palmers. The Tornado valve is amazing but can be harder to setup and usually requires a heavier hammer spring to overcome it's quick-closing action. The Palmer LT valve, by comparison, is more forgiving to setup and can be tuned to use light hammer springs. If that makes sense to y'all lol

Palmer's LT valve is excellent. I wouldn't bother replacing it personally.

Honestly leaning towards buying extra seals for the LT valve. The Dyna Valve with tapered stem, the cup seal for the LT valve, is currently listed as out of stock on the Palmer's website. Which is what initially lead me to look for an alternative valve in case it failed. But I might try contacting Craig to see if he has a few extra he'd sell me instead of buying a second back up valve.
