What type of oil/grease are you using to lube up your old pump guns? Let's hear it!

I have one pump - Line SI Bushmaster and I've been using KC Trouble Free (now sold as Outlast) for decades now. If I understand it correctly, most pumps being based around cup seals benefit more from oil, for less friction/wear on metal-metal contact areas. Pump guns based around spool valves (like an automag pump conversion) can probably get away with oil (the Automag was originally designed with oil in mind) but, would do better with grease on the o-rings and o-ring contact surfaces as it will stay on those parts longer without being blown away, in which case, Dow 33 grease is the best pick (most paintball grease manufacturers are just selling re-branded, colorized, Dow 33).

I use Outlast, but pretty much any air tool oil is fine.

At one point I bought a box of 12 tubes of Evil Pus, so I use that on just about everything.

However, a year or two ago, I was chatting with DocFire and he mentioned that he loves the grease he sells and actually sells it at a break even price. I told him I had plenty, but he said he would include a tube in my order. I never cared which grease I used, just whatever worked. I have to say his grease is realy light, and cleans off my hands super easy, but seems to stay on orings and internals extremely well. It is better than the evil pus for sure (which I assume is Dow 33).

What kind of pump we talking? When I had Phantoms, just gold cup style oil, a dab on the hammer.

Snipers, light grease on reg o-rings, light oil on valve o-ring and that's it.

              Triflow on delrin parts

And one rare case of powdered graphite lube on metal on metal

Outlast for every thing but the reg. Reg I use Dow 33 grease.

I use just enough oil or grease to make the parts look wet. Sweet spot the reg time them and set them as close to 280fps as I can get given how inconsistent paint is.

Any quality synthetic air tool oil. A drop or two in the ASA before a day of play to lubricate valve train parts. Even when I tear down a marker I do not typically pre-lube before assembly to keep excess oil from collecting dirt/grime. Now if you are talking about the actual pump handle I do not use any and do not recommend any as it just collects dust/grime and makes a pretty affective abrasive.

That’s Dow 69 and only used for pump handles, Alcoholic drinks, and massage oils.

John Deere brand 5W30 for the hammer, bolt, etc. For the valve I use a combination of whatever goo is in Crossman 12s and occasionally a drop or two of this bottle of air tool oil I got free from the Matco guy 15 years ago.

ZERO ISSUES EVER. OG pumps are first in line to not give a bleep.

Adding a regulator complicates things though. Regs all fail eventually and need rebuilding but better Nelsons/Cockers themselves can in some cases last 30+ years failing nothing but the front o-ring once in a while as long as they don’t completely dry out and start corroding. Even that small problem then eventually goes away when you decide to stop replacing the front o-ring because it doesn’t do anything and then the gun achieves %100 completion as does it’s owner.

Back when I ran a PGP and a Phantom pump I just used air-tool oil from my dad's shop (he had a compressor and a lot of pneumatic tools) and my markers ran fine. I don't remember the brand but it was red/pink-ish in color. He suggested that I be fairly stingy with the application because air tools don't need that much lube to run right and too much is worse than not enough. Don't know if that's accurate, but I used that advice and again, my markers ran great.
