Good! Grab it and sell it! Never seen one in person but I don't think it would be worth keeping for performance sake. I honestly try to avoid saying that when I don't have some experience to back it up, but I feel confident in this case lol But I'm sure another member has messed with em.

I've seen one of these in person, they really are that short. Hard to find, really cool rams

I'm not gonna run out and try and find one,if it's more then like $30 I couldn't afford one anyway ima broke bitch right now, I was just curious and thought it was cool, I'm sure it has to be set up just right and may cause problems cause it's so short but idk

Also I don't think another threads need to be made for this so I'll ask it here, how do I tell if a ram is good before I install it

also how in the hell am I supposed to get this pump arm off my stock trilogy ram without marring both up, trying to put one of my brass rams on it finally

Not really, the one I worked on was a customers marker. It really wasn't any different in setup than any other ram just without ANY excess length

Rebuild it. Then plug one of the ports and cycle the ram by hand, you'll feel pressure build up or a vacuum, just make sure the ram can hold that for a bit. It's not perfect because the operating pressure is much higher but if there's anything major wrong it will tell you

I've always put the ram shaft in a vice and grabbed the pump arm with vice grip pliers. If you are worried about it, hit the pump arm at the join with a blow torch. If there's any loctite in there that will loosen it up.

Thanks trbo, looks like ima have to grab the ol dab torch from my parents house 😂

I get suction on both ends if I close off the barbs, it sucks the ram shaft back, I know this doesn't tell me if it's gonna leak though, probably should quit being lazy and being a cheap ass and just get a rebuild kit or 2

Iv seen some of the cocker builders use some flat channel lock pliers but i have no clue what they are called, one set I saw had plastic or rubber covering the flats

The hybrid rams are obscure because they weren't that great. Very short throw. They tended to work better on electronic cockers

You can use a vice grip plyers like Trbo323 mentioned. I just use two sets of vice grips with pieces of rubber (cut from a strap wrench) to prevent marring. A troch is a good idea too.

And if the ram is suctioning from both end and is relatively smooth, I bet it's in working condition.

Soft jaws on your vice, and get a sheet of rubber from amazon - general useful tools to have around. Heat gun is enough, torches have a tendency to melt the 006 in the base of the ram. Then it's an extra step of removing the melted oring.
