Dye Lazarus Valve in a Dye Ultralight Reflex

    Good evening,
I come to you with a conundrum I currently own a dye reflex, and a dye reflex ultralite.
The Reflex is completely tricked out it has a aka lpr, sidewinder reg, eclipse ram, bomb three way, and shocktech Valve.
The ultralight has stock pneumatics, reg, and everything else.
I have been collecting parts to upgrade the pneumatics, eclipse ram, mac dev lpr, bomb three way, and a couple of other upgrades front block expansion chamber banjo fitting, sidewinder reg or something good in the mean time i plan to run it stock till it breaks or I tune it till it "breaks".
I purchased a pair of Lazarus valves 1 for a pump trilogy and the other for spare but I keep thinking about putting the Lazarus valve into the ultralight reflex.
There are a couple things that I could see being advantageous with this combo. The lazarus valve use lower pressure air so it would might not require the front block expansion chamber, it would take a light gun and make it slightly lighter (grams). Lastly it would put a new dye valve into a old dye marker.
The downsides i see first off is the fact the ultralight contains a 9/16th valve so I would have to drill it to make it fit making the marker worth less, I might scratch the anno and it is an anno that i have been looking for, for quite a while, I am not sure if many people have done a lazarus valve in a mini marker so I would be going down a road by myself.
What I am asking of the experts is in the pole but when the time comes to upgrade the ultralite should i just upgrade the pneumatics, and leave the valve 9/16th. Upgrade the ultralite to a 11/16th Lazarus valve, or upgrade the Reflex to a Lazarus Valve. I would love to hear thoughts for, against and anything else.
I do not plan on using an 11/16th valve for either the reflex or ultralite unless it is the Lazarus valve.

It's a good valve so far in my testing, but not worth getting the old body opened up for.

For the cost of getting the machine work done you could buy a trilogy and slap the Lazarus in and beat on it with out remorse.

not gonna devalue the gun to bore the tube. Id do it. Laz valve makes way more difference to the lightness and consistency of your shot than the difference between decent and great pnues.

only thing that is remotely similar feeling is a ccm lower tube, but still not as good.
The magic is in the pairing of the laz valve and the delrin hammer and a super light hammer spring.

I would wait on the Delrin hammer testing. Im hearing excessive wearing issues. A teammate is having issues with his it’s deformed after very little use.

Chuck E Ducky. Good to know! I was pondering picking one up for my Lazarus build but will avoid it for now.

I’m with Hellion it’s cool but not worth the trouble to fit one in your classic body. But that’s really for you to decide. I don’t think it would devalue the marker. It’s not like you’re drilling it for eyes.

If you plan on using it regularly and having a Lazarus valve in it will make the experience even more enjoyable, go for it. If it's a wall hanger, I'd personally have a difficult time justifying the expense and potential for damaging the anno like you noted.

But at the end of the day it's your marker - don't let any of us anonymous forum users dictate how you live your life. 🙂
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."
