    Fanz Kits Battery pack mounting?

So I picked up one of the Fanz Kits DIY kits they have and have yet to figure out a decent mounting option for the battery pack. Realistically it can only go on the back of the mask strap but I am a bit at a loss as to how to attach it there well. Has anyone come up with a more elegant solution than just stuffing it into the strap? I was thinking about finding a little pouch but most I am coming up with seem bulky. The other ideas ive had involve velcro and stuff like that but that feels like it's not going to be secure enough.

When I bought one of the kits years ago, it came with a large Velcro piece that you could use to secure the box to the strap. The piece they provided was something like 1.5” wide by maybe 4” long so there was a lot of surface area. I never had an issue with it.

I was think about basically that but was thinking about making it. Then from reading this just realize I may be able to find a jumbo Velcro cable tie that would do that.

Maybe. Not sure if that would work well but I may play with that. I had been thinking about something that was easier to take on and of but they are cheap and easy to cut so that may work

I'd say Velcro is the way to go. Maybe you could get a small tackle box or something and drill a hole for the wire (and switch?) if you're worried about the pack taking a hit. There's also battery boxes/counterweight pouches for using helmets with NODs which you could maybe somehow adapt?

There also used to be a homemade mask fan kit on eBay from somewhere in Europe that had an on/off switch and disconnect from the battery pack part way down the wire.

The kit has a battery box for a 9v with a switch, problem is it’s just a box with no holes or clips or anything. I think I am going to try and see if I can get a wide kind of cable tie of some kind and glue or rivet (I laugh at my self saying that as I don’t have the tools for pop rivets and would totally justify purchasing them just for this lol) it so it can’t slip out.

Of course I am already making the kit more complex by adding barrel connectors to disconnect it and pulled out some wire loom I had to make it look nicer (which of course is bigger than I want but I’m not spending 20+ bucks after shipping on thinner stuff for all of 8 inches of the loom I want haha).

Ok so yall got my brain working enough to try and go with some Velcro strips that are the double sided kind, going to put a piece of adhesive backed Velcro onto the pack it self and then use the 2” wide strips to wrap around like a cable tie, which will hook onto the pack so it can’t slide out.

if I feel like procrastinating chores this weekend I may get it all together (have to solder up the connectors, heat shrink, and loom it still, plus figure out the Velcro set up with what I just ordered).
