CCM SSR magazine spring for roundball.

A friend recently picked up a CCM M40 which uses SSR mags. The SSR mags are designed/sprung for FSR. You can use roundball in the mags/marker, but due to the spring tension, there is a good chance you will crush/break a ball. I was wondering if anyone knew of a spring that would work in the SSR mags that would be more gentle on roundball?
    I can haz feedback?

Get the planet eclipse mg100 springs for the ten round mags and use those

I like the Dmag springs from MCS.. significantly cheaper than PE BUT you more than likely need to order online since most shops probably don’t keep them on hand.

I know this post is a few months old but figured it’s worth saying, softer springs won’t be the only fix that is needed for the mags to work with roundball.. the markers have no detents so even with softer springs you’re likely to get multiple paintballs shooting out everytime you rack the marker

There's a bigger problem you'll run into before getting that far. The softer springs worked to keep from crushing the roundball. However, due to the mag design, the only thing that keeps paint in the mag is spring tension. That works fine with FSR, but with roundball, even when you're using a softer spring, all that happens when you release the follower is all of the balls get pushed out.

Yeah I’m working on adding detents made of bent steel shim stock to mags so I can run roundball. MCS makes a really nice steel detent for the 468 that is similar in theory to what I have planned

I’ve done it with a stock mag and round ball, it works and it doesn’t, some break some don’t
