    Thunderpig R2000 regulator questions.

I picked one of these up. I'm hoping I can run it on a 1998 cocker with a PPS low turbulence valve.

So, I have never seen one of these before.
Looks similar to an old Sheridan Rg1 in operation.

Anyone have experience with this reg?

They are notoriously garbage regulators with poor quality control. Usually using them means you risk cross threading anything you screw onto or into.

      Well that's not good news!
      Thanks for letting me know.

It threads into the asa ok. And a cci bucket changer had no problem.

Seems it needs a rebuild though.

The recharge rate is poor, it wonโ€™t keep up with a well tuned cocker. I believe itโ€™s a rebranded rg1 or at least a copy. Been a long time though.

Was looking to use it on a pump...
But, sounds like I should be looking for a different reg.

late to the party but, junk. It's either off or on with flow restriction. Never got much that resembled regulation out of mine.

I have used them on stock class guns before. If you aren't shooting fast they do help with co2 spikes and a little regulation. Like others have said they are not the pinnacle of regulation.

I heard CMI copied the RG1 (a rebranded no Hotshotz), which was copied from the old rotary bolt gun, the Pheonix. That guy then sued sheridan. I don't think he sued CMI though. Both the LS2000, and Falcon basically ripped off the Pheonix, but with a more conventional bolt.

That was the old wild west. I'd be interested in a CMI Autohog tthough. lol
