    Palmer STAB rebuild- parts questions?

I’m about to order the following from PPS- provided their site still works, and all is in stock- to rebuild a Stabilizer.

    O-ring seal kit
    main spring (0-700 psi)
    disc regulator

Should I need a plunger? Any other parts? Is PPS still taking orders?

    Thanks all!

PS- I haven’t torn this STAB apart yet, but the fellow I bought it from said it had been sitting for 5+ years. Visually it’s in pretty good shape externally

I bought from PPS about a month ago.
bought a fatty stabilizer and an LT valve.

So still up and running as far as I know.

Why are you buying the main spring and disk? Is it missing those parts?

Yeah, that's an unusual purchase for a rebuild. Probably just need the orings, and really aside from the poppet seal they are really standard off the shelf rings.

Agreed, you'll just need the o-rings. I rebuilt mine last year and just used my local o-ring supplier. I'm in Canada though so shipping from PPS is crazy.

As I said earlier, I bought a fatty stabilizer and autococker low turbulence valve a month ago.

And when I had questions about the stabilizer later, I got email responses.

Seems if it's on the site, it will be delivered.

And that's a man's life your talking about.

well i meant no disrespect. sorry if you took that personal. did you go through a bad one or something?

and my questions were for latches109, but thanks for inserting yourself into the post

i ordered some items from the site a couple months ago and had my money refunded with a generic, lackluster apology email.
im a huge fan of palmer stuff. sounds like i had a bad experience and you had a more typical transaction.

He’s been good about shipping stuff he has in stock from what I understand,

        Thanks for the input folks!

I’ll probably just get the o rings then- I didn’t know if the springs wore out with time or not.

I’ll tear it down tonight and see what I’ve got to work with.

I try to buy straight from the source, rather than 3rd parties when possible. Makers seem to have more knowledge about products and provide better recourse if issues arise. Plus Mr. O-ring probably has plenty of lanes to ride in.

        thanks again!

Try Palmers first. I got the 3 sets of rebuild kits I ordered 5-6months ago. He’s been pretty good about shipping stuff he has “in stock”.

I got some extra just in case I need to have the reg seats replicated. The orings are easy off the shelf picks. Thankfully they are pretty durable and last a long time.
