    Air America Violator

Hey everyone, I just acquired an Air America Violator regulator, and really like the aesthetics of it but it’s a high pressure regulator. I set it at 300 psi, but it seems to choke out at low pressure and the marker of course won’t function properly. Has anyone been able to convert it with change of springs or needle to get it to be consistent at low pressures?

    Thanks,
    -Justin

UPDATE: I found a spring pack that is a low pressure conversion for the Air America Uni’s. I found it on EBay from I&I so hopefully it works. I’m thinking it’s a NOS item so get one if you want one while they last.

You can rebuild the spring pack to run better at lower pressures. You need to source the correct bellevile washers and add 4 to the pack in the correct orientation. Not incredibly hard, but not easy either. Look at the one you ordered when it gets in. it should have more spring washers in the pack.
