Wgp trilogy 3way barb removal issue

I'm having issues of removing the barbs on my trilogy. The issue I'm running into is the socket wont full seat round the barb due to the body being in the way. If you have a info to remove the barbs. It would greatly be appreciated. I've check online there method did not work.

Might have to use a thin walled nut driver

Yeah nut drivers are the way to go. They're a pain, I think I broke one or two each time I did it.

I took one of those driver bits that fits a 1/4" driver and turned it down on the lathe to work. Been using it for years.

I dont have a lathe. My last resort is going to a rc car store to find a thin wall druve. If that doesnt work. I'm going to do some ghetto sh.

bench grinder, dremel, sand paper..... maybe amazon has thin walled ones.
