I've been running my classic RT mag awhile now and love that hunk of stainless steel. I recently upp'd the pressure to get some better RT action in a pinch, and am looking to upgrade from a revy to a Cntrl hopper ( based 100% on looks - cause i'm shallow that way, It's hard to support dye anymore and I really hate the look of the LTR and the spires for that matter) I see the CTRL 1's on sale for 160. Is the 2 worth the extra $$ ? any red flags using it with an RT?

shouldn't be an issue but the DTR are best for the rt due to the tension -
I’m not sure which CTRL I have, but it’s a horrible design.
don’t get me wrong, runs great, but the shape of it is not conducive to dumping pods in it. Expect to lose a handful of balls, and you kind of have to tilt the marker too, to get full.
I still run it because it was expensive and mechanically works well, but the shape of it sucks.Comment

love my cntrl 1. got it with ramps for $80. feeds my autococker flawlessly. super low profile

How fast are you shooting? An overpressurized R/T Mag might really outshoot that. Those things can get roughly a billion BPS when you crank them up.Comment

I think the ctrl and spire hoppers are optimized for 10.5-12.5 ramping guns, so old school RT speeds might not keep up. Rotors and halos have ball stack tension advantagesComment
