    Ion bodies and frames

I want to build a couple ions at some point and was wondering if their is a list and pics somewhere of every body and frame made for them I looked on zdspb but I don't think he has every body listed as I don't see the ANS bodies on there

Also if anyone is an ion guru and knows what parts are worth of you could post what some of the bodies sell for so I don't over pay

Ions don't bring much money to the table anymore. The most expensive one will be the dynasty bodies but that is because people pry the logos off to restore shockers.

I haven't seen a comprehensive list of the various bodies. The only ones that are available new would be the ANS bodies, the same with the frames.

Aftermarket frames are scarce, aftermarket breeches are also scarce.

It would be a case of watching the sale boards and eBay, finding one you like, and building from there.

Most bodies will directly replace the stock body.

The Shocktech bodies like these require a lower profile banjo bolt in the back.

I don't think you should pay more than $70 for any used aftermarket body. Stock bodies are about $20.

      Good luck,

Don't forget about the bolt if you're going mech... you'll need a dual tail oring. You can get the stock bolts modified or buy an aftermarket one.

I have an NDZ Skeleton bolt in my mech Ion and I have modified stock bolts in my double Ion... the NDZ runs at a slightly lower OP than the stockers but otherwise makes no difference.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Lucky bodies will sell for a lot more than that, but they're probably the one exception. They're pretty much the creme de la creme of ion bodies, but they're very rare. I sold a mech Ion with a Lucky body for $200 almost two years ago. That was probably a bit low for what it was.

I was just going to say this. The Lucky bodies are like gold for some reason. I've seen people buy certain Lucky bodies for upwards of $150.

It’s partially because they’re rare, partially because they look really nice. And AFAIK they’re the only one piece bodies out there. No inner and outer body, it’s all one part. The later ones are cocker threaded too.

Sigh. There used to be a guide to all of the different Ion bodies on ionowners.com. I've been trying to browse it via Archive.org but, I've gotten way too many 'this page has not been archived' messages just trying to browse the sub-forums where I think it would be.
