Hey all, recently acquired a handful of trracers from Craigslist. I want to make them easily field usable, but I'm kinda lost on what they need to run hpa easily. Drill out the small brass filter, and anything else? For clarity's sake, they do have adjustable bolts in them as well. Thanks for the info all!

I had no issue getting mine up to speed with the filter in and a 800 psi input HPA tank, especially if you put a tighter bore barrel on it.💀 PK x Ragnastock 💀Comment

Junk, won’t work, just send them to me for disposal.
but naw should be fine. Tracers ran on CO2 but the angle of the tank kept most or all of the liquid out of the system generally.
but in all seriousness if you want to get rid of one of them let me know. That’s the one marker I let go years ago and kick me self for it.Comment

According to bacci, the power tubes on the PMI Trracers are approximately 0.18 which would put it right between a #5 and a #6 powertube. Coincidentally, that's exactly the same size as ICD's "old-school nelson" power tube. You should have zero issue getting those up to playing velocity with HPA as long as it's an 800+ psi tank.Comment

Just to join the chorus, I've had over a dozen old Trracers, Mavericks, Hornets, and Tagmasters pass through my hands and none of them needed much work to shoot up to speed with HPA. The biggest problem with these guns is rusty powertubes or hammers, but once that's sorted out and there's a bit of nail polish or tape in the barrel to stop rollouts they shot fine.
SL-68IIs were another story.Comment
