Well i've possibly jumped into some crappy guns. What are these worth?
Im thinking of keeping the dye gun as my one and only electro. But should I bother or just buy something newer. I'd hope that it be easy to maintain.
The angel is in rough shape and Ive yet to get the charger working. I'm assuming that these are a bit harder to maintain from what Ive read. I've also found that one of the grip screws is cross threaded🤨. I'm always down for a challenge so i'd like to get them both up and running, But the Angel in particular is scaring me a bit.

Idk about the angel but the dm5 I would probably put somewhere around $160-200 of it's in good working order. If you need parts let me know, I have a dm6 full parts kit and a lot of it is the same

They can be fairly reliable. I have had a dm6 for over a decade now, it was my main squeeze for about 6 years of that, keep it lubed and I recommend a few drops of oil in the asa every couple cases, rebuild every 15 or so cases and you really won't have any problems

I would recommend finding a "cp continuous flow plug" for it. It eliminates the dumb on/off right below the barrel and makes it much more comfortable to shoot.

Angels do seem to be a tough sell, I think people are intimidated by them.

I have that same Angel speed, put a cheap virtue board in it and it rips. Or you could do a ZeroX board for ~$75.

I'd like to get it up and running without too much investment. Are there any other ways of getting power to it without the charger? I think that i'll need to find an Angel fanboy in the SoCal area.

I suspect it's because they are a triple tube design, not many of those out there. Besides the Viking and excalibur I can't think of any others and finding someone to work on them is even harder

O don't beat yourself up, you can pretty easily make that back selling either one of them and maybe some of the gear.

You can break even on cash and keep one of the markers if you want. That's a pretty good deal if you ask me

The power switch needs to be "on" on the Angel for the battery to charge, in case you weren't aware... but it's most likely that the battery is toast, I'd recommend against trying to charge it unless you know for sure it's still intact. They like to rupture and leak everywhere.

After deep cleaning the grip frame, disassembling the eye, checking the battery and fidgeting with the charger, I still cant get it to charge. The LED on the charger cable turns on but nothing lights up on the gun. Could i be missing something? Is it possible that the charger is malfunctioning despite getting power? I'd assumed that even with a bad battery i'd see an led light up on the gun.

Are you turning the gun on? The switch is an isolator - it won't let power through unless its turned on. Maybe you did, I'm just not seeing where you mentioned it.

Its also very possible you have broken wiring... it's not uncommon to be broken at the switch.

Pull the back cap and check out what's under there.

I've made sure to turn the switch on and I've ran through all of the wiring to make sure its clean and connected. I've also hacked up a universal charger to see if it was the charger malfunctioning. Still nothing lighting up on the marker. On a positive note, the gun has cleaned up quite well, and the cross threaded grip screw has found its way back into the original threads. Thanks for all of the help guys.
I'll be looking for an Angel fanboy in Orange County CA if anyone has any leads.
