Adjust Output Pressure on Fixed Tank

I have this lil guy and it's use largely crosses over with a few older, HPA unfriendly guns I have... VM-68, Traccer, Puma and now a PT Xtreme. Most of them I have operating in the mid 200 FPS range... but barely and often with shims, drilling out, etc. I am guessing that bumping output pressure might give me a little boost... say getting it closer 900psi or similar?

Is there an reasonable way to achieve this? Beyond a few burst discs and a chewed up bonnet I don't normally mess with tank regs much but I'm happy to tinker!

You should be able to shim the reg spring to get higher pressure but there are a couple things to watch out for:

    1) you want the spring to still be able to compress enough for the reg to seal without the spring going "solid" i.e. compressed so far that all of the coils stack against each other.
    2) your output pressure burst disk should be rated for the higher output pressure (but I think these are usually 1.2k PSI so it should be good to go)

Ok, great, I'll give it a shot. I had done some digging and saw misc posts that said the washer style could be shimmed but not.the spring for some reason but that didn't really make sense. But again, not my area of expertise!

Yeah, you should be able to shim both. In fact, I think Ninja makes regs with coil springs and Belleville washer stacks and uses shims to adjust both.
