    Overboring question

Will overboring with larger freak inserts give the spray effect?

Trying to get the same effect I see in speed ball videos where the balls spread out.

    Thanks

I know this one, buy some cheap paint, and watch them hook like you are at the driving range.

Yeah if anything those guys are trying to avoid that as much as possible. They would rather have each shot follow exactly where the last one is so everything is predictable

I think what you are seeing is just paintballs natural inaccuracy. It's not something people are trying to do

I honestly can't see how this is in any way a positive result.

If you lack accuracy better to go with a shotgun over a rifle I guess 😂

100% would remove it from the game if possible. The number of times I have thrown a rope at the edge of a pack that is sticking out a bunker and the paintballs "spray" everywhere but onto the pack.... makes me wanna tear my hair out. Laser beams would be better by far.

Never do I waste more paint than when I can clearly see a sliver of something and the paint goes absolutely everywhere but where I am trying to put it.

I overbore everything but my guns still shoot in a line unless I have bad paint. But yeah you want them in a line, not a spray shot.

If you want that spray effect, loosen your barrel.

I had a Viking for a bit, and if I didn't have an oring to keep the barrel from loosening, balls went left and right.

Run a E-Grip Tippmann A5 with a Flatline barrel, or any marker with a Apex barrel tip. The Apex can do a whole bunch of crazy shots. And the Flatline gives you a big range increase at the cost of accuracy (gotta good spread at range). Both are very useful in scenario big games, but not much else. .

Probably a weird camera angle that makes it look like balls are raining every which way, but I don't think anyone has wanted their paint to come spraying out in every direction like shotgun pellets

I think this and trbo is the answer. It's probably just distortion from the fish eye like lens on action cams. Plus paint in accuracy.

Sticky please. Thread of the ages. I had never considered that people running $2000 guns might be intentionally trying to create the spread fire effect from Contra…apparently hoping that random chaos will result in more hits than aiming with an accurate gun. I learned something today. Frankly, since accuracy in speedball is around %0.0001, that theory may actually make sense.

To answer the original question: no. It won’t. Over boring doesn’t necessarily destroy your accuracy. For the effect you desire buy a Tippman A5 with all the go fast parts and the shortest, least ported barrel they make. No freaks needed.

I don’t think you’re using that meme correctly.

If you want the full spray effect, just buy a ramrod for cleaning firearms that's at least 1 inch longer than your barrel. Ram it down there before the game until you feel a crunch and then you'll be guaranteed to max out your aim cone.

Take any barrel that has small holes for porting and shove pine needles inside it.
You will get all sorts of wonderful patterns and colors.
Discovered that once after crawling under a bunch of pine trees during a 10 man tournament.
