    Scuba tank refill question

What is your set up look like. I am using this. About 4 foot hose. Issue is that the hose has air and keeping pressure. So trying to quick disconnect it from the tank is hard. Fear that it will damage the nipple, hose or me. It did not do this before. And I dont think I have changed anything on it.

    Thanks

If you fill the tank with the QD attached to the fill station, does it have the same problem when using the hose?

If so, the bleeder on the fill station is likely clogged.

If not, it's something with the hose. You didn't leave a check valve in the nipple did you? Although I concede that should have given you issues from the start.

Kinda wondering if you got pipe tape blocking something. I would double check it.

You guys are good. Cant believe I did not think of this. Plus I must have switched out hoses. I likely sent out the original hose I was using with the extra refill station.thanks all

Yeah, mine is similar (first strike) and the process is:

Check that it's tight on the SCUBA tank.
Connect QD nipple to paintball tank
            Close bleed
            Open Scuba valve
            Fill
            Close Scuba valve
            Open bleed
            Disconnect QD

In case anyone else is ever wondering

Yeah get rid of the hose. That's also a chunk of volume you are losing every time you bleed the fill station

Or put a slide check at the end of it, IF IF IF you’re absolutely positive it’s rated for the pressure.

I just full straight off the yoke, no hose. Seem unnecessary unless you keep your tanks on your markers.

Yeah same here. Leave the tank hanging from the fill station and run a remote line with a slide check at the end into the marker from the tank
