How do you store your markers?

So wife has said our child needs his own bedroom instead of 1/2 paintball, 1/2 bedroom. So my wall of markers needs to come down and be stored away.

how do you all store your markers? At one point I bought a bunch of cheap neoprene tablet sleeves, debating going that route again.

Tote bins with QR codes that link to an Excel of contents and an actual gun locker.

I have like 100 of these. Put a label on the zippers to remind me what's in them

x2 on the cheap rifle cases. I can fit 3-4 markers per case, the foam lining and hardcase keeps them secure and well protected. Rifle cases go into a rack in the garage, all my other gear goes into totes and then into the same rack. It's worked out pretty well and let's me keep a lot of gear reasonably organized in a relatively small space.

I went with the cheap tablet sleeve option with luggage tags.

Tote bins and an excel sheet for tracking what’s in. I used chair foam squares I got at Walmart between layers of markers.

I've got some VNETs setup for my 'smart' devices and whatnot, and completely offline smart home hub, haven't gotten to a complete self-hosted setup yet with media servers. Been casually looking at getting as much as I can self-hosted.

            I do things differently.

I use a old dresser I got cheaply at a yard sale. to hold most of my markers. 4 drawers of markers. Has to be a well built dresser not particle board junk. Things get very heavy fast.

I try to keep the drawers segregated, Automags, cockers/misc, Stockclass, Spyders. That helps to find things and to keep organized.

Each drawer has a layer of foam on the bottom, then a layer of guns, a layer of foam, layer if guns. then a layer of jerseys to cover everything

The foam is a cheap mattress topper cut cut to it the drawers.

It also has the advantage of keeping the guns out of sight so I almost never get the "I don't remember that" questions from others.

The Automag drawer as a example. There is another layer of guns under the foam.

Wouldn't it be easier to just get rid of the kid?

Most of the stuff I'm not using (which means it's out on the worktable getting something fitted to it ) I have stored in Action Packers- big plastic tubs with latching lids. With various bits and sheets of foam in between- and nothing so fancy as an Excel spreadsheet. I have a handwritten list on a clipboard.

The 'Packers have one drawback- they're too big. Good for compact storage, but it inevitably means I need something from one of the lower levels, and have to excavate a dozen other guns to get to it.

If I ever get rich, I'm gonna have a bunch of those big, wide, low drawers like museums keep small artifacts in.

Harbor Freight Knock off Pelican cases. They hold a lot and are water proof. I got some reusable moisturizer absorbing packets I drop in to absorb whatever gets into the case if I play on a rainy day. I play out of them as well keeps my collection protected. I use a piece of masking tape on the outside of the case’s to label them so I know what is in them so I can grab and go.

I can fit 8 open class pumps in one case or 6 Full Stock class markers with stocks per case.

They aren’t cheap but they protect the collection well. It completely encases two full layers of markers. There are a bunch of different sizes too. I went with the rifle cases so I can fit a bunch of VSC Phantoms without having to remove the stocks each time.
