    Leaky Mini GS

Trying to get a buddy's Mini up and running, but its got a nasty leak down the barrel. I've already replaced the bolt guide o-rings, the poppit o-ring and poppit seal.

    Reg is set ~180-190 PSI
If I tighten the velocity adjuster all the way in, it seals up up fine. The moment I start to increase the velocity (back it out), it begins to leak again. Almost seems like the poppit isnt returning to the closed position (yes, the spring is there).

    I be stumped.

I’ve seen several minis or axes with leaks down the barrel from a big scratch on the face where the poppit seals. Since you’ve replaced all the applicable seals, that would be where I’d look next.

Something to try is the Method Poppet, I had trouble with an Axe Pro leaking and that fixed it.

Mine was only a slight leak ie the scratch that was mentioned previously.

its likely not the cause of your issue, but untill I got a 90 duro urethane seal for the poppet I had velocity issues - make sure you get the right one!

Using a rebuild kit so I've got the correct duro

Try turning your eyes off and cycling it as you air it up. Maybe the solenoid is also stuck half open, and you need to cycle the system with some air to bias everything.

The sealing face looks fine and I wiped it off. As mentioned previously, it seals as long as the velocity is turned all the way in (closing the poppit). I also tried the spare poppit spring and it didnt make any difference. I'll double check all of the seals in the AM, but this is funky stuff.

With mine I replaced the poppet seal, flattened the seal and replaced the o-ring on the poppet with different durometer, and material o-rings , and a couple other things and using the method poppet worked for me. I can not guarantee that it will work for you and this might not be the issue you are facing this was just something that helped me.
