Currently I wear HK Army Crash arm pads. Their length to circumference ratio is a better fit for me than the Planet Eclipse pads I briefly tried.

Prior to getting pads, I used to wear a British Army surplus under body armor combat shirt (UBACS) that had removable neoprene panels inside the lower sleeves. That worked pretty well, though they weren't very form fitting. I got the UBACS from keepshooting.com.

        Dye Performance Elbow Pads - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=UTF8&th=1&psc =1
They work well seem to hold up but you do have to oversize them. I'm a medium to large build guy and needed XXL

You beat me by 6 minutes. I've had these for years and the biggest wear is a small hole in my left palm from sliding on gravel.

I use Exalt Freeflexes, they are inexpensive, comfortable, and have held up well against weekly use.

I have HK Army, Dye, Undr, and Virtue Elbow pad/sleeves. Those are all the way up the arm covering the bicep down to the hand gauntlet style. Overkill if you only want forearm protection. I have a pair similar to this that I use when I am not playing in try hard mode. Mostly for snap drills and other practice drills to reduce impacts. I also have people who question if I have ringworm or some other skin disease from time to time at work.....tools.
These are cheap and work a treat.

i like the exalt alpha pads, cheap, great coverage and have actually netted me bounces semi-consistently! im still on my first pair, going on 6 years now!
Looks wise, theyre not for everyone. i get alot of "are you sure those arent shin guards?" and popeye the sailor man quips, but i love em!
if they dont conform to your arm shape enough, ive had great results folding them in half long ways and tying them in between playing days. you could also slide a dowel/pool noodle in there and try a heat gun

u and i are close in size id recommend Large.
since they come up to your bicep, they dont really slip or slide around. i wear gloves with pretty chunky cuffs too tho, so maybe that helps

Exault are my go to, my first set was their T3(or an earlier version of it) and those lasted me close to 4 years of playing 2 times a month, I'm currently on my second pair that I got in a lot and love the, they and don't feel too restrictive but give a good protection I think they only sell a size s/m and l/xl, their Freeflex elbow pads are sized "standard" with a single size per size(no s/m or l/xl option) I will say are nice and will be my next elbow pad, I got one a size smaller in another lot and I loved the protection coverage and wished that the local guy who sold me the lot was fatter and had gotten them a size up cause they felt really well made

I’ve tried a bunch, planet eclipse are the best. Very bulky, protective when crawling.

I loved the design of the PE pads I had, but unfortunately they have a shorter length relative to my wrist and bicep circumference than I need. Sold them to a friend who is enjoying them. For guys with long, skinny arms like me, PE pads just aren't proportioned well.

                    anybody got some insight?

Almost everything Dye makes is really small.

As far as what I use- I currently have a pair of the Exalt Freeflex. They are comfortable, stay where they should, and aren't that expensive.

Briefly had a set of DYE knee pads. They fit perfectly...when I was standing straight up. I could hardly bend my knees in those things. Sold them on and replaced them with Exalt FreeFlex knee pads and have been very happy with those.

I tried on the FreeFlex arm pads, but they seemed excessively bulky to me. Curious about their T3 arm pads though. I've got their T4 pants and love them.

Grendel I recently bought a Dye padded shirt in L/XL, which is the same nominal size as the old Proto one I've worn for a few years. It's a bit of a struggle to get on and off, that's for sure. The Proto one is much easier, being sleeveless and having larger mesh areas between padding panels.

Does you Exalt shirt have a tendency to bow out, or ride up when you put your pack on? I have a Valken padded shirt that does that.

The Exalt padded shirt is long enough I tuck it into my CRBN Padded Compression pants so no issue riding up and the padding stops above my harness. Works well and not had an issue with it when I wear it. Like all padded shirts is is hot and I hate it but keeping the wife happy makes it worth it most of the time.
