Hello, I saw this on the Skirmish Instagram post. I thought I’ve seen everything paintball but can’t identify the marker, hopper and mask. I’m thinking it has to do something with paintball because they are advertising a paintball event. Any answers appreciated. Thank you.

Definitely AI, I could definitely see skirmishes marketing department do something like that, they've just been using old playing photos for years. Any of there photos you see still have people using rubber barrel plugs. Personally i think their just getting lazier for marketing

is it lazier? Or did they figure out if they generate some remotely ridiclous AI photo, it'll get people talking? Seems like this specific marketing photo worked perfectly..

It's definitely catering to their clientele. Skirmish isn't the greatest place in the world and attract some of the worst players I've ever encountered.

This is not a "All coverage is good coverage" type of situation. Big Game and scenario p[layers, or really any players, mostly care about believing that an event will be well attended and somewhat decently run. If people are talking about how an event can't get a single human to show up for a photo shoot and does a pathetic job of hiding it, people aren't going to be motivated to show up.
This image is just filler for a flyer. People who would normally show up to Skirmish will go, people who have concerns about their events won't be swayed at all. This isn't smart, it's just lazy.

AI generated bullshit
The Automag: Not as clumsy or random as an electro. An elegant marker for a more civilised age.

I'm trying to figure out which image generator they used. Midjourney seems to have issue with hoppers, but the masks and general vibe turn out better.
Perchance, which is fun and free, has issues with any equipment in general...
And Gemini seems to do the best with equipment, and even a decent looking hopper, though the people seem a little... derpy...
