Stripped Screw Under Eye Cover

My Valken Proton has a screw that has a stripped head (or is very stuck) under the flush fit eye cover. It's a button head screw that takes a 1/6" Allen key so there's not much engagement surface to begin with, plus there is likely some dried paint under the cover.

I've shot WD40 in there and left it overnight and also hit it with the heat gun (not too hot because the plastic detent is still in there) and thrown it in the freezer. I can't really hit it with a hammer because of the size of the Allen key.

Any other suggestions that don't involve a drill and easy out?

Glue on the allan head? Just need enough to get it moving. This is the exact reason I hate eye covers. Those tiny screws are way too easy to strip.

Sometimes you can hammer in a slightly oversized Torx bit in the stripped out hex head to get it out.

I do this all the time, I have one that's all beat up from removing stuck grip frame screws

Some people have luck putting a rubber glove over the allen wrench to make it "grippier". Never worked for me though.

Given the location, I'd be inclined to put superglue on the wrench, insert it, let it cure, then see if it works. You can use acetone to free it once it's off.

super glue the hole to help keep you straight, painters tape over the top - these are so you do not scratch the marker. with a very fine drill bit slowly drilled out until the head comes off.

Make sure to use a reverse drill bit, though. With any luck you might get it to finally come loose without having to drill the head totally out.

Thanks everyone. I actually tried the Torx trick already and rounded off the end of my crappy driver. I drilled into the head a bit deeper and it bit when I tapped it in.

I'm a little PO'd because it marked up the hole a bit and the gun was pretty mint otherwise.
