    Midblock conversion

Found a bubba’d 2k5 superstock. Heavy coats of camo paint, and a angle grinder “sight rail” do you think a midblock conversion would be the best way to restore some dignity to this marker?

the top of the top tube looks very thin.
maybe half block would work better

I would strip the paint first to see how bad it is. Then mid block it like a jole cocker would be sweet.

Cut it like a docs fastback. Just eliminate the top portion of the top tube while leaving enough to guide a mid block sled.

Reminds me of when I was younger just getting into PB amd car's, boy I hacked up my share of both in the wrong ways, had a 32* cocker body I got for 20 bucks that was rough AF, took amd sanded it down and cut the top tube off and ran it with a full length bolt, ran that Franken monstrosity for years as my main pump

Mid block. It already looks like a hack job, half blocks in my opinion always look a bit hacky, mid block makes it so you can get away from that a bit. Whatever you do for the cut, maybe just plan on cutting an extended bolt pin channel towards the feedneck. That was you are cutting out the thinnest sections and then leave the upper right and left corners as kind of like "wings" coming back to still keep the bolt in line
