What’s the story for why they no longer sell/produce small bore accessories/barrels or adapters? I recently came by East Coast and Hustle Paintball that were each advertising sub Lapco .680 barrels and bore breech sizers, to have it be an inventory error after I placed my order. I know pump players are a small market share, but I don’t understand why they would sell gear that’s only useable with paint 20 years ago, unless they’re just down to what’s left of their inventory and have no intention to produce more or stay in business.

I’m pretty sure Lapco predates those other companies, so again I’m not understanding why they would abandon that corner of the market and only have essentially obsolete product on hand. How often do you see .687+ paint? That’s the only sizer on their site. -
Lapco is the paintball division of a larger machining company. The other industries they do work for pay better so they invest more there. They only have .687 left because nobody bought it from their last run (it would be useless 90% of the time for preventing
rollouts). The sizers themselves are a niche product basically only for the few people who use a closed bolt gun AND want to use a huge bore barrel instead of a kit. The average paintball player would never buy one. -

It still doesn’t make sense to me why what they do offer would be so limited. They sell Phantom and Cocker parts still. Closed bolt marker accessories, but only .687 - .690 ? The fact that everything else is bought up should be proof that there’s some market for it, regardless of how niche it is, that’s what sells.
But it sounds like the bottom line is they just make better money outside of paintball and that department is just not a priority.

ive got a .682 big shot and it is really nice honestly.
I'm sure it comes down to demand, inventory, and the fact that they likely make 10x on the other industries they machine for.

If you like one piece barrels why not get a CP? They’re excellent quality, come in all kinds of colors, bore sizes, and styles.
personally I went with a used Deadlywinds Fibur-X barrel. They sell adapters for $15 so I can use the same kit in any marker for just a few bucks.Originally posted by Chuck E Ducky:

I talk to Sergey often. There just isn't enough money in paintball products. Everything is the latest greatest newest thing in small quantities. Too many niches to fill with small runs. 100% that other stuff pays more when it comes to machine time. He's been doing a lot with the ACP pistols and rifles. a couple of years ago he was just doing stuff for the first strike community. For years I've been talking to him about making a signature sniper. But machine time and money always got in the way.Comment
