New ram base doesn't fit

Got a new ram base cause I broke a barb off in my old one, I ordered the bigger 10-32 barbed base and it won't screw into my ram housing, old one works just fine and even old brass ones work, I'm guessing the threading is just different or maybe it's just a hair bigger

at this point I'm just ready to buy a ST ram 😂

Sounds like you might just have a mis-made part. Or... I wonder if you got sent an Empire ram base accidentally?
