Need O-rings (all) for this gun (Carter)

The last time I saw this marker was probably 20-25 years ago. It needs a full set of O-rings from the bolt to the puncture pin seal. Does anyone know where I can find these?

    First of all, beautiful Comp!

The bolt oring should be a 112 (it is on my TriCar and most of my other Nelsons), same as the one on the valve retaining nut. I'd try the PGPJunkies piercer seals: https://pgpjunkies.bigcartel.com/pro...ce-seal-5-pack

Thank you! I had to beg my dad for money to buy this in high school. I "worked" at a local Paintball Store and maybe got paid from reffing at a paintball field a few times, but that was just to afford paint/air/gear hahaha! I remember telling my boss I was coming in at opening the next day and lying about it being a "teacher work day" so there was no school.

Very useful info. Thanks! Do you know where I could get a full set of internals? At this point, I might need to replace everything. I haven't even taken it apart yet to check the condition of the power tube or the seal on it. I don't know when I'll actually fire it (or where I can even buy 12 grams anymore?) but I'm not confident it will even chrono. I swear the last time I used this, I couldn't get it above 220 for some reason, so I just put it away.

Chances are your steel internals are just fine, might need a little polish.
Seals should be changed as you said, but the internals are pretty dang durable.
The spring for the hammer might need to be changed if it was stored cocked or something. That is a nelson length spring.

If your velocity won't go up to speed the likely culprit is that the stock barrel is large bore compared to small paint these days.
We would need to see if your barrel is threaded and with what thread to make a good recommendation.

Carter internals (as I understand it) are custom made, and it's unlikely you'll find a replacement set that would be a perfect fit. I can almost guarantee that the bolt, hammer, powertube, even cup seal will be fine anyway. If anything they just need a quick wipe down. It's possible your springs have worn with time, and a Phantom set should do nicely as a replacement:

I've had surprisingly good luck with all my 15-20 year old cup seals. Yours might be 6-32 or 8-32 threads, you'll just have to get it apart and measure. 6-32 is standard Phantom size:

For 12 grams, the "Leland" are the best. You can get them here:

If you need 250 of them:

"Get a case of 250 high-quality 12g unthreaded CO₂ cartridges, perfect for airguns, paintball markers, and more. Free shipping to the continental U.S. Bulk pricing available!" This keeps it under 160 characters for optimal search results while including key terms like 12g CO2 cartridges, bulk, airguns, and free shipping to attract potential buyers.

Avoid things like Crossman or whatever is sold at Walmart or other stores.

Thank you all for the replies.

Wow... phantomonline.com still exists. Stock class players were pretty big here (I only played it on weekends I didn't have enough paint and for "training"). I actually traded some of my parts with a friend to make an "Iron Man" (red and yellow) phantom, but I lost it gambling at N64 Mario Golf... (also while in high school LMAO). My friend eventually turned it into a "Magneto" Phantom by getting rid of the yellow parts and replacing them with purple ones. My boss at the paintball store had a Phantom with Carter internals (you could tell by the sound) and his Phantom was like... orange and blue (you can see a common theme of swapping Phantom parts to change colors around here).

Air it up, it probably doesn’t need any new seals. That being said you’re going to need to take it apart and measure each seal. Carters are all hand built they use what ever size oring/ cup seal Carter had on his bench that day.

if you can’t get it to shoot at field velocity, check your spring combo and power tube. If you post a picture of the internals I’m sure we can diagnose where you’re losing velocity beyond the obvious which is the large bore barrel

Looking at the power tube, it looks okay. Won't know until I gas it up. Puncture pin seal def needs replacing and the bolt O-Ring I found inside the barrel (broken). I think I remember now, back when I had a cocker there were these "spring sets" you could buy. Green to red, lowest to highest load. I think I can see green paint on the valve spring, so I think it's a green/green combo. Was there supposed to be an O-ring on the barrel? I can't even remember. Nowadays, people use smaller bore paintballs? It's not just ".68 caliber" one-size-fits-all? I do think I remember there being barrels with inserts or something now that I think about it.

Cocker springs arent the same for the valve. Mains can work

pre 98 length cocker valve springs should work

Unfortunately due to industry cost saving. Paintballs aren’t really .689+ anymore. They are more in the 683. and under. So roll outs are going to be an issue with your barrel which is presumably .690ish. Due to how Carter barrels interact with the bolt face simply boring the barrel for sizer inserts really isn’t an option unless you come across a Carter bore sizer kit and have someone do all the machining and hand fitting to make them work. Or have a machinist make some custom ones and have your barrel machined to fit them. Carter also used non standard threads for most of his guns. Some have over sized taso threads for which there are no real after market barrels and some of his guns used autococker threads with varying degrees of tolerance compatibility. But then again even if it’s autococker threaded the way Carter bolts work requires a bevel on the barrel so that the bolt face can seat in the barrels which isn’t really a feature of model autococker barrels. There are some non permanent fixes you can do to prevent roll outs like dabs of nail polish in the barrel,

as far as the internals the power tube looks like it has good sized porting and green/green spring combo seems fine. You might have to go heavier on the main spring or adjust your bolt to keep the valve open a little longer if you’re getting low velocity.

I've been making some Carter barrels. The only downside being is that Carter often made the barrels to whatever looked right that day, and we've run across several that had something that looked a lot like 'Cocker threads, but were slightly off, to TASO Spartan threads, which are very similar to 'Cocker, but not interchangeable.

If you can find a known-good 'Cocker barrel, and it screws into the body fully, I have an off-the-shelf barrel for you.

If it doesn't fit, or is only close, I can fit one to it, but I'd need the gun, or at least the receiver, to do so.
