Building pre-2k cocker

Ok guys what do I need to know before I decide to build a pre-2k cocker or pump, I kinda want to build a mini pre-2k pump

Mini kits aren't common for pre 2k so there's that.

Past that everything is basically the same except front block thread, vertical adapters and if you go way early body the IVG

Some of the really old ones use a shorter valve spring. Though pretty much anything can be modified though so i wouldn't worry about it much.

Yeah ok that killed that I don't want that headache I'll just stick with 2k specs

Ok so I went on eBay looking at bodies and it seems most pre-2k bodies already have a detent and lug adjustment hole drilled and I guess if I wait I can find one that has been threaded for an ivg, there's a dust silver one on there but its kinda scratched up that's been threaded for one or maybe I'm overthinking that part like usual

Now what about the vasa was drilling them to whatever the 2k spec was a thing

I can drill the vert asa and tap the IVG threads as well as 2k thread the front if that is what you are looking for. Though with all of that said are you looking for a 2k rf body?

No I have one of those I'm building already, I just like the old school look of a slab side cocker and figured I'd build one for my pump gun, I was over thinking everything and I don't want to have to take the frame off to adjust the hammer lug I'm lazy lol

As for the vasa I just wanna be bougie and use one of the attktx vasa screws, ecapnation said they were different but didn't specify how

A 99 spec body will give you everything you're looking for. The attktx VASA screw is just a vented socket cap screw. Not worth the price.

2k vasa is rounded to fit the body and has more air flow holes.

Pre 2k is squared off and has one air hole
