    Unknown sheridan bit.

So I've got a bolt action Kseries I'm working on.

I really want to pull the valve face out and pop on a new seal. I can't remember for certain but I thought the full valve assembly comes out the back.

I however dont want to put real force against it without being certain. The rifle does though have an additional bit on the valve tube, it's about 7/8ths of an inch long and maybe 3/8ths across and is probably screwed on to a soldered fixture, ill include a pic. What is it and is it preventing me from tearing it down.

I hope this made sense, I've been up about 20 hours.

That looks like the pressure release for the dual 12 gram pierce assembley. Does the SN of the marker begin with an ‘A’ ?

Hector the Collector can chime in. He gave me a TON of into about these.

i’d be willing to trade+ cash for a different assembly to preserve it, if you’re open to it

It's pretty straightforward. But been a hot minute since I've done it. So i'll wait for someone that's done it recently to chime in, but... Do you have the right tools? Valve removal, punch tool, etc? If you do, then in the right order it comes apart nicely. If you don't have these, you'll have a bear of a time.

I appreciate all the help guys. I was able to get the seals out, cleaned up, greased and reassembled with new seals. can the degassing assembly be used to plumb air in?
