    System x lpr body fix?

Ok guys this thing is about to drive me nuts, I have one of the system x center lpr front kits and the lpr body is held on by 3 set screws, well idk what happened in this parts life but it keeps gauging the oring that seals the body to the base, IV tried sanding it with high grit sand paper(3000+ grits) and they seem smooth but no matter how much I sand it still gauges the oring, should I try a little lower grit first maybe like 1000 grit or maybe the holes are just to damaged around the edges to fix, tried to get pics but I'm not pic taker so they might suck, I'm talking about the edge of the holes inside the body

Pics were taken before I started sanding them

They just did that... Poor design.

I used one in my tactical cocker at first but ended up hurting the lpr and using its base only after tapping it for a normal lpr.

Iirc they might have been 6-32

Yeah if I can't get it fixed I'ma just gonna toss it in the trash 😂

Might keep the front block though and see if I can't find one of those hybrid adapters or something to to run a normal lpr on it, it's been nothing but a pain in my ass since I bought it

I'm guessing over time the holes just get messed up then it's a nightmare to rebuild

Just use either a harder durometer oring and/or a different material. Urethane and/or silicone is resistant to cuts/abrasions even at the softer durometers. My bet is if you throw a 90durometer urethane on there, you’ll have no issues. You could also add an internal bevel/chamfer/radius to help prevent the transition zone from cutting

Yeah there was a polyurethane oring on it when I took it apart but it just fell apart when I took it off lol, I'll try this
          Working...
