    Hammer 2 rear ASA adapter

Hello there, I’m asking anyone who is attending the upcoming Slim’s stock classic event May 17th and 18th if they could help with my hammer 2 rear asa adapter as the threads are completely shredded. If you have a hammer 1 rear asa adapter, I would be willing to buy it off of you as I may be able to modify it for the hammer 2. I’m not sure if any sterling rear asa adapter would work as I’ve already tried one but if you have any you’re willing to part with, it would help to see if any fit. Thank you and see you at Slims!

Standard hammer asa won't work. It's much shorter.

Do you have thread gauges and calipers?

Sterlings are 1/2-20 with a 3/4" OD where most Nelsons are 9/16" nuts in a 7/8" OD. It definitely looks more Sterling than anything else.

Which threads are fubar’d? The retaining screw threads or the valve threads? You could easily helicoil the retaining screw threads yourself.. they have kits on Amazon or even Home Depot/lowes

I did want to try that but I got the wrong size helicoil. That may be the only fix for this. It’s the tank asa threads so the outside one. I just had difficulty finding the right helicoil size

I’ll take a picture of the actual damaged parts later, this was before I wrenched it off the regulator
