safe way to change feed neck on an evolution

i have an evolution cocker with a stove pipe centered, i bought a sconi threaded clamping neck but have been scared to try and change it, i LOVE my EVO and am afraid the pressed in portion may turn. i have a strap wrench and a blow torch...... do i need to worry? want to use my rotors. but do currently use my revo and have no issues.

If using with a Revy works without problems I'd leave it

Most evos didn't have threaded feed necks double check to see if there's a gap

Check to make sure there is the groove in the bottom of the cup on the outside. If there isn't one it is not threaded. Post a pic.

It does have a groove on the underside of the stove pipe, the press fit tube is black and the stovepipe sleeve is gold. Also a buddy has one bought the same year and his is threaded , not sure what year but I am thinking 2001 ish

It has the angry frame and long lpr

1.5" strap wrench, or leave it and just add some paper to take up the space with your laoder.
          Working...
