I also use Freak inserts, but it’s for the efficiency gains. My Phantom doesnt allow rollouts, and I cant remember the last time it broke paint either.

Dang. I absolutely can’t do that. I’ve spent hours on trying but all for nothing.

Correction: I can do that most of the time but not 9/10 times and tape works 10/10 times. Only things I can trust are useful to me.

Now I’m mad at EV again…

All dimensions *should* be identical. Part of the frustration of having a non-working detent mod is that I don’t know anyone around me with a working one to compare it to. It being made wrong makes more sense to me than it needing a hyper specific o-ring arrangement that I cannot achieve.

I bought an EV 2.0 body and it works fine.

Your’s may work fine. Mine absolutely does not. So what do we think the root cause is:

A) I’m a hater?

B) there are production variations?

Is my 2.0 body not working because I don’t have sufficient faith in The Cause? Or are there actual physical reasons for it? I had been assuming it was B all along but I’m starting to think some people actually think it’s A. If I was a sufficiently loyal customer I wouldn’t complain. I’d pay good money for stuff that doesn’t work and just forget about it like a loyal believer.

I’d love to mail this useless thing to someone for examination but I’m not going to the post office and I’m not buying a printer
