No Output pressure on brand new reg

I got a brand new HK mid pressure reg. Put it on my tank. Filled to 2500psi. I can still depress the pin with my finger. Only a tiny purge. Unscrewed my reg slowly think there was a gauge issue and it purged high pressure for a few minutes so I know it was full. Repeated again to be sure. Is this an easy fix or should I just get it warrantied?

Warranty. It may be an easy fix, but it's a new product, and may outline an issue they have. Fixing that makes everyone's day better, plus you'd be jaded by having to fix a new item.

I'd still want to know why.

Did you test it on a gun? It seems unlikely, but maybe the pin valve design just has very low closing force and requires a lot of throw to open fully.

Also regs aren't super complicated so it could be an easy fix if you pop it open.

I thought the same. Tried it and had no luck. Tried on a 98 custom and an angel a1
