I have a newer Micro Rock that needs to be rebuilt. The rear section will not unscrew from the main body so I can access the plunger/piston. I'm trying to prevent overly scratching the Micro Rock body sections.
Loctiting the SS adapter into the rear section did not work, the Loctite is breaking before the front and rear section of the Micro Rock body will separate.
I remembering seeing someone built a tool to service older Stabilizers without a coin slot by threading a long screw into the bottom and then torching a nut against the body of the the Stabilizer. At least i think that's how it was done. Would a similar setup work on the rear of the Micro Rock? If so, anyone know the threading of the rear of the Micro Rock LPR? The OG Micro Rocks used 1/8 NPT, but the newer designs appear to use something different.
Any advice would be appreciated. The Micro Rock is my favorite LPR and they're now only available used. I'm certain this will not be the last time I encounter this situation :?
Thanks!
