I remember toying around trying to improve the feed on my 007 a while back before sidelining the project. This past weekend has me thinking about this again. With the stock screw in the feed tube, I’m as likely to pinch and break a ball as load it. Has anyone come up with a more reliable solution, or would I be trying to reinvent the wheel?

Reinventing the wheel....
The issue isn't misfeeding it's the nature of breach loader nelsons the ball sits lower which allows the next ball to be clipped
This was solved with bore drop nelsons -
I bought one that has a heavily ground ramp on the nose of the bolt - like the "cure" bolts for the Ego.
Never had a problem, but this seems designed to solve the problem should it exist.Attached FilesFeedback

Ah, so the issue isn't the feed at all, but rather the bolt. This makes sense considering how all attempts to make a parabolic feed resulted in failure. If I can work up the courage, I may just have to try playing around with the file.Comment

I have phantom internals in mine, never had an issue chopping. Much more expensive option over filing on the stock bolt but the adjustable velocity and anti-kink is nice. Ranger internals have a nice slope to them and also fit iirc.Comment

Makes me wonder if there were a way to have a wire detent sit under the bolt, sort of like a Tipmann 98C detent, to hold the ball up until the bolt pushes on it.
Then I remember it's a steel body and cutting it would be tedious. And I don't have any wire detents.Feedback
