Everyone at Pump Up The Ridge suggested I stop being stubborn and start wearing knee pads. With the next game just a few days away, I’m wondering what do yall recommend?
+2 Hydras are the most comfortable pads I've ever used. Once they are on I forget about them until I take them off. They also have some kind of magic foam in there that makes rocks feel like pillows.
Mizuno LR6 volleyball knee pads, picked them up on sale for $30 and they're great. Breath well, don't ride up or down, not too tight. I had nike ones before but found I was always adjusting after a few seasons, I think the elastic just wore out.
My next set are going to use D3O padding it’s soft and flexible material but hardens on impact. It’s being used in all kinds of sports safety equipment now. I’m thinking about going with a Mtn Bike knee pad.
For this weekend? Eric probably has something in the shop. That’s how I got my last pair. Forgot my Planet Eclipse ones and got a set of knee pads from the proshop at AG.
I got the Fox D30 knee and shin guards. They are so comfortable sometimes I forget Im wearing them. Made to be mobile yet strong enough for mountain biking. Definitely would recommend. I might try their elbow pads next
